DLDecision Lab

Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-08-01

Plain-language terms for a small, independent tool. Using this site means accepting them; if you disagree with any part, the right response is to stop using it.

1. Who you are dealing with

Decision Lab is an independent software project operated by an individual developer, and its source is public on GitHub. Payments are handled by Creem (creem.io) acting as merchant of record: for the purchase itself Creem is the seller, issues the receipt, and is responsible for collecting and remitting VAT, GST and sales tax.

2. What the service does

You describe a decision in numbers — a win rate, a payoff ratio, a volatility, a horizon and the resources you would commit. The platform converts those resources into one comparable capital figure and computes expected value, Kelly position size, RAROC, a Monte Carlo distribution and a Go / No-Go recommendation. Every output is arithmetic on the numbers you supplied plus published benchmark priors. Nothing is predicted; the report tells you what your own assumptions imply.

3. This is not professional advice

Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, medical or other professional advice, and using the site creates no advisory or fiduciary relationship. The benchmark priors are population statistics, not a judgement about your situation. Verify the inputs, make your own decision, and for anything material to your money, health or legal position consult a qualified professional first.

4. No accounts, and what that costs you

There is no login. Your reports are tied to a random identifier in a browser cookie. Clearing that cookie, switching browsers or switching devices will disconnect you from reports created earlier, and we have no way to prove they were yours. If you buy an unlock, give an email address at checkout: the link we send is the only reliable way to restore access on another device.

5. What you may do with a report

A report is yours for personal use and for use inside your own organisation. You may share it, quote it and publish excerpts with attribution. You may not resell it or a derivative of it as a paid product, present it as an independent or certified valuation, or use it to imply that Decision Lab endorses a particular decision.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass the paywall, share unlock tokens publicly, probe the site for vulnerabilities without telling us, or run automated traffic heavy enough to degrade the service for other people. Do not use the platform for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access for any of these without a refund.

7. Availability and changes

The service is offered on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the boundary between the free and paid halves may move. Unlocks you have already bought will be honoured on the terms they were sold under: a single-report unlock does not expire, and a pass runs its full 30 days.

8. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision you made with the help of this tool, for lost profits, or for data loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited in aggregate to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

Revisions are published on this page and the date at the top is updated. Changes take effect when posted and do not apply retroactively to purchases already completed. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
